Winter Session Course Eligibility
You should not enroll in a winter session course if you:
- Are not in good academic standing
- Were not eligible to enroll in English 101 and entry-level math courses by the beginning of the academic year prior to enrolling in winter session
- Are a first-time, full-time student who will start at SIUE in the spring semester
The Registrar will administratively drop students from winter session courses who meet these criteria.
Please note: If you register for a winter session course and are unable to complete the course successfully, you may need to adjust your spring course schedule. Please meet with your advisor to review your spring schedule.
Student Support
Online tutoring for select courses is available through the Tutoring Resource Center. If tutoring is available for your course, information on assigned tutors, available dates/times and method of contact will be included in your course syllabus or course help module.
If you need to request academic accommodations for winter session, please submit the online application, as well as documentation for review and determination of accommodations no later than December 18 at noon.
Visit the Plan for Success and Student Support webpages for additional information about online orientation, course materials and student resources.
