IE Graduate Assistant Support for New Graudate Students - Fall 2021

Up to six (6) new IE graduate students will receive 25% GA support (10 hours / week) for their first semester in the IE graduate program. Students who receive the 25% GA support are not eligible for other GAs. The GA includes a monthly stipend ($600) and tuition waiver. The GA may be extended to following semesters contingent upon satisfactory academic performance.
Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration for a GA, an applicant must have been admitted to the IE graduate program and have not started the first semester in the graduate program.
- One letter of recommendation from someone who can speak to the applicant’s ability to be successful in graduate studies
- GA application form (download the form). To find a faculty mentor, visit the Department of IE website to learn about the faculty and their research.
- The application for the GA must be submitted by September 1st if the applicant plans to enroll in the following spring semester
- The application for the GA must be submitted by January 1st if the applicant plans to enroll in the following summer semester
- The application for the GA must be submitted by May 1st if the applicant plans to enroll in the following fall semester
- The Department of IE notifies applicants by November 1st if the applicant plans to enroll in the following spring semester
- The Department of IE notifies applicants by March 1st if the applicant plans to enroll in the following summer semester
- The Department of IE notifies applicants by July 1st if the applicant plans to enroll in the following fall semester
- Must carry 6 semester hours or more of graduate-level work throughout the term of the GA
- Must remain in good academic standing throughout the term of the GA
- Must participate satisfactorily in a scholarly activity mentored by a faculty member throughout the term of the GA
- Must comply with all graduate assistant requirements, policies, and procedures
