NEH Summer Stipends - LOI Due July 10 in Kuali Build
Posted June 5, 2024
Discipline(s): Arts and Humanities
Due to the limit on the number of applications by institutions, all SIUE faculty interested in submitting a NEH Summer Stipend for the 2024 competition must submit a letter of intent in Kuali Build no later than 4:30pm on Monday, July 10.
About the Program
The NEH Summer Stipend offers faculty members $6,000 to conduct research and produce material for publication. Awardees work full-time on their projects for two consecutive months. Stipend holders may visit archives or libraries and may hold other research grants supporting the same project during this time.
Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to scholars and general audiences in the humanities. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archeological site reports, translations, editions and other scholarly resources. Stipends support projects at any stage of development.
Summer Stipends are awarded to individual scholars; organizations are not eligible to apply. Indirect costs are not allowed.
