CARLI Open Educational Resources (OER) Grant

The Illinois State Library has secured $3M in funds to be administered by CARLI (Consortium for Academic Research Libraries in Illinois) to support Open Educational Resources (OER) creation and adoption.
A portion of grants funds may be used for faculty and staff salaries, including course buyouts, so long as there is a functional product produced from the project. Funds are expected to be available/expended through FY2026 (30 June 2026).
Grants are expected to be capped at $150,000/project with institutions tentatively eligible to receive multiple grants (possibly 3-5).
The application will go live late January, early February 2024.
The current projected due date is March 2024.
Awards announced by May 15, 2024.
