Service Learning and Digital Innovations in Social Work Teaching
Since arriving at SIUE, I've become known as one of the 'macro' focused faculty. What does this mean?, that my interest in social work focuses on large group and organization issues such as family and community wellness and non-profit management (the business aspects of social work). I teach many courses in the department, but have come to enjoy the ones that focus on mental health, families, research, non profit development. My research areas are:
- Racial and ethnic disparities and difference in healthcare and mental health care.
- Digital and Community Engaged Innovations in teaching
